Cassidy BarnertCassidy Barnert, of Evolution Equi-Sport Therapy, believes complementary therapies are fundamental for performance, recovery and quality of life for all animals, two-legged or 4-legged. With a BSc in Kinesiology and a 2 year Equine Sports Therapy certificate, she brings a detailed understanding of anatomy and physiology to each session. She is committed to continuing her education by regularly enrolling in new courses. Currently, she is also mentoring under Tina Watkins of Inhand Equine Therapy.
Her passion for whole body wellness is rooted in her lifelong experience with animals, agriculture and athletics. Cassidy fell in love with horses at a young age and became heavily involved in Pony Club and 4-H. This involvement gave her the opportunity to compete in various disciplines both english and western. Now, she enjoys trail riding in the mountains, playing Polocrosse and moving cows on her family's farm. In her spare time, she volunteers as Canine Project Leader for the Millarville Mutts and Mustangs 4-H club teaching kids how to work with their dogs in basic obedience and agility. Cassidy was an athlete on the University of Calgary Wrestling team and played nearly every sport in high school. Here, she realized it takes a village to keep an athlete feeling and performing at 100%. Whether you're a weekend trail rider or a fierce competitor, she believes in treating your horse or dog like an athlete and is committed to working with other professionals on your wellness team. Services available include equine and canine massage, red light therapy, kinesiology taping, and pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF), for horses, cattle, dogs and people. |
